About Me

My mission is to lead, inspire, and challenge the status quo! It is what I do as a business consultant, peak performance coach speaker, and what I intend on doing with my modeling career. Challenging the status quo has been part of my ethos since I was born. I was the kid convinced I was going to make the NFL as a quarterback. I dedicated my young life to achieving that dream. Running drills in my backyard, throwing a football at a tire swing, and studying plays and players to gain any advantage. Unfortunately, life had different plans for me. I lost my vision at 11 from a random illness. A brain abcess took my vision and very nearly took my life. Luckily, I am a competitor at heart and turned my loss of vision into my greatest challenge. Challenges can be beaten; while, disabilities are endured. Always wanting to be considered a normal guy who happens to be blind rather than a blind guy who happens to be normal lived my life accordingly. I have rollerbladed around my high school campus with a Cain. I have danced shirtless on stage at a piano bar. I climbed rock walls in Vegas. I have learned to surf, snow ski, recently went indoor sky diving. What is the point of life if you are not going to live? To me, life is about fun, freedom, adventure, and amazing experiences with amazing friends. This is what I find so compelling with modeling. It allows me to do all three while challenging stereotypes of beauty. Living as both a young sighted person and as a totally blind teenager and adult I know both the reality and stereotypes. Screw all that noise! Everyone has the opportunity to create the life they desire. Let’s end with a few facts. I have a beautiful Seeing Eye dog named Ziggy. He will be convinced the shoot is for him. I have both a master in counseling psychology and a law degree from Texas Tech School of Law. I am a member of the Texas bar but choose not to practice because life is to short to spend research, writing, and arguing with strangers.
